Tatsuya Suto Named President of Hartz Mountain

Seacaucus, N.J.-based Hartz Mountain Corp. hired Tatsuya Suto as its new president and CEO. Suto succeeds Gumpei Futagami, who will remain at the company as executive chairman, and who continues in his role as vice CEO of Unicharm Corp., the majority owner of Hartz.

Prior to this appointment, Suto was president and CEO at Summit Pharmaceuticals International, an affiliate of Sumitomo Corp. A seasoned chemicals and pet supply industry executive, Suto served as Hartz’s executive vice president from 2004 to 2006, and served on its board of directors from 2004 through 2016.
